Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born 19th August 1965, is an American actress. Her starring role on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010 and an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. Following the seventh season Sedgwick received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended on August 13th, 2012. Sedgwick's role as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) The Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother, who was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and has stated that she is a member of Passover seders.
